Description
Biocox is a dark brown colored liquid comprising of unique herbal extracts , mixtures of O ligosaccharides (mannan oligosaccharides & fructo- oligosaccharides),vitamin A, and vitamin K. it is slightly bitter, nonviscous liquid with sweet aroma.
Mannan-oligosaccharides reduce schizont and oocyst count of coccidia. MOS also promotes intestinal villi growth. Fructo-oligosaccharides promote beneficial fauna in the gut. Vitamin K avoids the haemorrhages due to coccidiosis and supports electron transport chain. Vitamin A, being an anti-infective factor supports immunity and enhances performance. It helps the damaged epithelium to grow back. Phytochemicals, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds by maintaining commensal microflora improve the innate and acquired immune response in poultry. Phytochemicals generate ROS (reactive oxygen species), which inhibit sporulation and cell wall formation in Eimeria species.
Scientific studies have validated therapeutic effects of Aegle marmelos that includes free radical scavenging, antioxidant, inhibition of lipid peroxidation, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-diarrheal, gastroprotective, anti-ulcerative colitis, hepatoprotective, anti-diabetic, cardioprotective and radioprotective effects.
Alkaloids like conessine, kurchine, kurchicine, holarrhimine, conarrhimine from Holarrhena antidysenterica have been found effective against various Eimeria species. They also have strong anti-amoebic activity and act as gut stimulant. The gut stimulant and relaxant activities of Holarrhena antidysenterica are mediated possibly through activation of histamine receptors and Ca2+ channel blockade, respectively.
Azadirachtin in neem reduces E. tenella infection. Neem has a remarkable improvement on cecal integrity.
Cyperus rotundus produces its anti-diarrheal effect through decreasing intestinal secretions and anti-spasmodic effect by inhibiting the intestinal motility.
