Description:
Udder Check is a simple dipstick test for udder infection in dairy cattle at its earliest detectable stages. Ideal to check fresh and problem cows and/or monitor response to treatment.
Just squirt milk onto the test strip, wait 2 minutes and compare to a color chart.
Udder Check measures LDH (lactate dehydrogenase), an enzyme present in milk when udder tissue is damaged due to an infection. LDH enzyme levels often rise before somatic cell counts (SCC), providing an early indication of sub-clinical mastitis. Unlike SCC, LDH is not as susceptible to influences from other conditions like stress, parity, stage of lactation and nutrition.
The only manual LDH cow-side test available!
Each vial contains 50 test strips, directions and color chart.
