DESCRIPTION
White Energy is a specially formulated calcium coated by-pass fat that supplies high energy required for enhanced peak milk production and performance. Decrease feed intake, higher quantity of milk production, coupled with energy deficient diet leads to loss of body condition, which predisposes the cow to metabolic conditions via Ketosis and milk fever as well as resulting to low milk production.
Feeding white energy to high yielders during advanced pregnancy and early lactation helps in minimizing energy deficiency. White energy should be used in the ration of dairy animals for 10 days before and 90 days after calving.
It Contains :
Fat……..82-85%
Calcium…9-12%
Rumen bypass Fat also called protected fats are normally insoluble at rumen body temperature due to their high melting point
Supplemental fats continue to be a practical means of sustaining energy intake in high producing cows
In early lactation, most cows will lose weight because the energy intake in less than that needed to meet the nutrient demand of milk production
As a result, cows mobilize body nutrient reserves particularly body fat to meet energy demand, which may result into Ketosis, Fatty liver disease, reduced reproductive performance and decreased milk yield.
Indications
- Enhances peak milk production, persistency of lactation and milk fat percentage.
- Increases energy supply for milk production and milk fat synthesis. Improves digestibility of other dietary components to further increase energy supply.
- Increase reproductive efficiency after calving.
- Improves body score and improves pregnancy percentage.
- Improves progesterone synthesis and helps in maintaining pregnancy.
- Improves post partum recovery.
- Timely return to estrus after calving.
- Decreases metabolic disorders such as Ketosis, Acidosis and Milk fever.
- Helps to formulate balanced ration and improves general health.
- Reduces probability of rumen acidosis and other metabolic diseases.
- Low incidences of lameness.
