The department was born out of a desire to bring genetics excellence to livestock farmers in Eastern Africa as demonstrated by CRI International to the world. The directors have been in the animal breeding industry since 1998 and have overseen the transition in the dairy and beef industry to the current production levels. The department is backed by a strong technical team with demonstrated experience in understanding the needs of the farming communities in improving their breeds through rigorous semen selection, match mating, cattle classification & judging, herd management programs, reproductive technologies among other key areas.

We are driven by the Farmers’ needs in our day-to-day activities to meet their desire in maximizing their farm profits We work with the farmers, breeders, inseminators, agents, co-operatives, farms, and other stakeholders to deliver affordable world-class genetics.
